Mr Toumi helped me find why I was having difficulty eating. He was always kind, gracious and helpful and always sympathetic and listened to me. He explained the reason and I found him extremely sympathetic and courteous. He is a special man with a great heart.

Mr Toumi is one of the kindest, courteous , and caring consultant you could wish to meet. He really genuinely wants the best for all his patients in his care. You really feel special and he can be trusted with full confidence. Lots of consultants have a lovely manner but Mr Toumi is really special. After months of gallbladder pain i went to see Mr Toumi and found him very helpful and humble he totally put me and my husband at ease to be able to discuss any worries and ask any questions i had about having surgery to remove my gallbladder. The procedure was done two weeks after the first meeting and was successful i’m now pain free! Mr Toumi came to see me straight after the operation and the next morning The hospital was very clean and the team there very polite and caring. Within 2 minutes of meeting Mr Toumi, I knew I had chosen the right surgeon to perform my bariatric surgery. He listened to everything I had to say, and then went on to explain the surgery. He doesn’t pussyfoot around. He’s very honest, including the possible unwanted side effects and potential dangers of bariatric surgery. And then puts them into perspective. I had absolute faith in him from the get go, and he didn’t disappoint peri or post operatively. He is passionate about changing attitudes towards the treatment of obesity and champions destigmatizaton of it. He is very proactive in educating through social media. I feel extremely lucky to have found Mr Toumi.

Mr Toumi was a perfect gentleman, he made me feel at easy with the procedure I was about to have and explained everything in easy to understand detail. From first meeting him he put you at ease with his relaxed manner and treated you as one would expect to be treated, as a human not just a patient. I had an amazing experience with Dr Toumi. I am so glad I was able to have the opportunity to meet him and him perform my gastric sleeve surgery. I am now three months post op and I have had no complications at all. My scars have healed so well with no infection at all. My recovery took around a month to feel almost myself again and 6 weeks it was like I hadn’t even had the surgery – all except the amazing results. I am three months post op and I have lost three stone, (less than 1 and a half stone to go until healthy!) The results have been incredible. I look and feel like a whole new person. I had my op at The Spire in Washington. There was just something about Mr Toumi that made me choose him as my surgeon. After my first appointment with him i knew i had made the right decision. My op was 2nd Aug 2019. Middle of Sept i was rushed to Durham university hospital, which was not connected to my operation. Because i was still under the care of Mr Toumi following my op, he was notified of my admission and put me under his care at Durham hospital to make sure i was truly looked after. He was like my knight in shining armour!!
